Help needed regarding GPU

Hello,

I need some advices. My pc suddenly won't detect my GPU Asus strix 1080Ti. And only display output is from integrated graphics. Mobo is gigabyte b85m-d3h. PSU seasonic m12ii 600w.

I tried resetting my pc. The CPU managed to display output from the GPU. However when I restart my pc my monitor shows no signal again. I had to force shut down by holding power button. Then turn on by the power button to enable display from GPU again. The next day I tried to power up my computer, again no signal from my monitor. Only display from intergrated card dvi-d connected to my tv instead. And now there's no signal even after I reset my pc anymore.

I have try to disable igtx in bios but didn't help. Have to reset cmos to enable display from intergrated gtx. Primary display shown in bios is already pci-e 1

I have also remove and resit my GPU in the pci 16 slot. GPU has power from led. Not sure if it's my mobo dying or what. Damn troubled

Update: now I reset my pc again and my GPU works again. I was all along having connection DP to monitor dvi-d to tv. Monitor being primary display. However whenever I start my pc the bios will load on my tv instead of monitor then display on monitor again at loading window screen.(even tho I show only first display) I will try reinstall drivers and only one connection to my monitor to see if there will be same issue or not

if I plug in 2 cable, DP to my monitor as primary, DVI-D to TV, BIOs still shows up at TV first only before windows log in then monitor will have screen.

I can't do a restart, whenever I restart, my monitor there's no signal, and the CPU will have the post peep sound, every 30s or so. I had to force shut down then power on. Alternative do a shut down and power on instead of restarting.

This is normal. Using similar setup as well my pc will show bios screen at my lcd tv then when reach windows will display on my monitor. If connect using only my monitor bios screen and windows will show on my monitor.

Make sure you connect using only either your Dgpu or igpu. You cannot connect to both igpu and Dgpu at the same time. So not sure what you are trying to do there.

Not sure what is the problem there from the way you describe the problem. You mean you cannot boot up to windows and it got stuck at post screen everytime you restart your pc?

I have been using the PSU for more than 6 months only recently or rather days ago having this problem, I bought the PSU to power my 1080ti

Not sure what is the problem there from the way you describe the problem. You mean you cannot boot up to windows and it got stuck at post screen everytime you restart your pc?

I meant connect both DP and DVI-D in my GPU, non connected to intergrated gfx

if I shut down my pc, I can boot my pc without issue on my monitor, HOWEVER, if I restart my pc instead, after my monitor goes black from the restart, it will show no signal and my cpu will have the peep sound(those when you just power up your pc) every 30secs, meaning I believe the CPU can't boot from "restart"

Summary:
GPU all along connect two device, monitor by DP cable, TV by DVI-D cable.
CPU suddenly cannot detect GPU. No signal on both
Plug in DVI to intergrated graphics card and Windows are shown on TV.
Do a reset(reformat) on my CPU and managed to have the GPU loaded on my monitor again.
Disable intergrated card on my bios, removed my dvi from GPU, so now only one DP connected to GPU and my monitor

Couldn't restart PC, CPU won't boot(got signal on screen but black screen)
Need to do a hard shutdown by holding power button and power up PC then CPU will be successful boot and windows shown on monitor(tried this almost close to 10 times to confirm)

Shut down my PC overnight, next morning couldn't boot my PC

No signal on monitor, the usual one peep sound from my CPU become few peeps(I believe to indicate there's no display output detected)

Please advise is it PSU problem or MOBO problem! Thanks in advance.

Have u tested the 2nd x16 slot?

I believe it might be your mobo giving the problem.

Anyway how is the frequency of the beep? Google on the beeping count with your mobo models and see what's the issues.

I don't see a second x16 slot leh, the beep is irregular like got specific rhythm. Everytime same rhythm.

Your manual should indicate what each beep means. If not, just send for RMA.

This error only appear when u plug in your gpu? Have you tried with another discrete gpu or tested your gpu with another working rig?

Perhaps, you can bring down to PC Care & Solution in SLS. Nigel can help u do some testing to better determine the issue.

it means graphic card error. whats your psu watt? see if can go higher.. otherwise could be a faulty gpu.
