Re
Likely possibilities
1) Battery died - Cannot help but send back to MS if still under warranty otherwise send outside for a battery replacement. Send to PC Dreams.
2) Yes, try to press-and-hold the [Start + Vol Up] buttons at the same time. Hold it longer say more than 30 sec. Do it a couple of times and see if the MS SP3 can boot up and go into its UEFI setup.
If can then you need to change the booting sequence from Windows --> USB
Off the MS SP3
Insert your Windows 10 boot-up USB flash stick into the USB port and re-start your MS SP3 again. I assumed you have Windows 10 otherwise have the appropriate Windows version USB boot-up stick.
If you are able to boot up from the USB stick then proceed from there to enter SAFE mode or choose the appropriate option there. I think one of the options is whether you want to roll back to the previous Windows version.
3) If you REALLY cannot boot into the UEFI settings (i.e. your MS SP3 is dead) then send back to MS if its under warranty otherwise send out for service. Call PC Dreams
Let me know whether the above works. I have many times faced such problems and I managed to get back my MS SP3 alive......maybe just my luck.....until I dropped it and cracked the screen recently. I sent it back to MS and paid for a refurbished set in return since it's already out-of-warranty.
