Hi all, been having this problem for the past 2 weeks

My rig is a amd phemnom ii x955, biostar a780l3g mobo, 4gb ddr3 kingston hyperx, powercolor radeon hd7770.

Long story short, my mouse, as well as the usb driver that the mouse is connected to will hang after playing flash videos suxh as youtube, youku. Tried to update drivers, plug mouse to another usb port, use another mouse, none helps.
2 days back did a reformat and its the same, even with clean win7 install without any drivers installed, just installed chrime only and went youku, hanged after a short while. Did more testing and found that it will happen also if i play normal vidoes using mediaplayer classic, or opebed a v high resolution picture, and even open a high resolution pdf file.

I'm stumped and need bros here to help me figure out wat could be the cause. Psu or mobo or gfx card dying? I've gotten some financial difficulties, so its not possible for me to change everything at 1 go..

Addon, after the mouse/usb hangs, doing a shutdown and restart will hang until i do.a hard reset.then the mouse will be back to normal until i did the above mentioned above again

Do the following:
1. Do RAM test. Use Memtest (not in windows)
2. Do hdd scan (including surface) and check for bad sectors.
3. Pull out GPU and test with onboard video.

ram and hdd was ok. i tested with various ram and another spare hdd before i posted...

finally found out wat's wrong.. 2 capacitors near the power connectors of the mobo was bloated... i swapped mobo with acer pc i brought back from work for testing and now its all no problem.. playing youku and youtube vids concurrently for 5 mins already as i'm typing there.. no issues as of now, normally less than 3mins the drivers will hang.
