Help needed with selecting my PC

Hi Everyone,

Trying to purchase a desktop to replace my 7 year old Asus gaming laptop. Not very good with PC building so pardon my ignorance here!

These are my main requirements:
- Light to moderate gaming. May want to play some of the AAA titles like: Assasin's creed, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Battlefield
- Hope it would last 5 years at least
- Power efficient

These are the 2 options I've narrowed down to. I don't want to DIY a PC as it's too much of a hassle and I don't have the time.

I don't really think it's worth the price difference but I'm not too experienced.

What stands out is

3600 vs 5600X
I don't really think they differ too much for gaming, at least not worth the price diff.

Motherboard
The one AFS use is budget board I believe, it might meet your needs but given the extra $ idk if I want to settle for a board cheaper than what dreamcore offers.

Fans vs Watercooling
I personally prefer fans over AIO I think this is mostly up to personal preference.

RAM
Not much diff

GPU
I didn't search up how they differ but I'm guessing part of the price difference came from this you can Google them versus each other I guess, both are triple fans and dreamcore one actually has 12gb which again I don't think has much impact in most things we use our pc for.

Memory
I mean I'll prefer dreamcore again cos 1.5TB but you and others might disagree.

Fans & PSU
4 fans vs 6 fans meh I wouldn't be too bothered just buy fans with that $500 diff lol

PSU is where dreamcore bothered me cos 3070 on 650W is kinda sus but I guess the 3600 makes it viable, there's a reason why AFS put 800w that's all I can say.

adding on, i actually cannot find the configuration that is stated in the op. 2.2k for a 3070 build is quite the steal these days...

u do know ffvii remake is still playstation exclusive right? i too would like to play it on pc but alas.

You're absolutely right! I made a few typos there. I had to swap out GPU for available one and upgraded RAM. Dreamcore is a MSI RTX 3060 GAMING and not a 3070.

adding on, i actually cannot find the configuration that is stated in the op. 2.2k for a 3070 build is quite the steal these days...

You're right it's not available on PC yet but just thought I'd throw it out there to give you guys an idea of the type of games I'd be playing

With the corrected specs, which rig would you recommend based on my needs?

hmm, personally i would go for the dreamcore build as it is more reasonably priced. assuming u are basing it off the tier 2 amd, i would suggest going for the ventus 3x card rather than the gaming x and add the upgrades like 32gb ram and 1tb ssd on ur own.

Dont have to go 32gb if you are not gaming imo. But for sure add hdd or ssd
