Hi there,


Yesterday night out of curiosity i forced open the casing and tonight ard 8+ i wanted to use the computer but the monitor pop out " No Signal " when i switch on from CPU.. I Even buy new VGA and HDMI cable but monitor does not light up.. Do i need to send it for repair the red circuit board??on

Even testing on my home tv with RGB or HDMI slot also no signal..

*CPU is running as i can see the 3 fans turning, only the display got prob*

CPU IS HP Pavilion Slimline..

Remove the front panel, unscrew 3 or 4 screws from the HDD/optical drive bracket, slide out the optical drive then remove both ram modules from the slot. Clean the gold contact on the ram modules using an eraser before installing them back to the respective slots.

Power up the system, you should be able to start up without much problem.

Ermm, I'm computer noob.. Mind using the pic and edit.? which is front panel, which screws from HDD/optical drive etc? would appreciate it alot..

you can try plugging the VGA connecting from your monitor to your motherboard VGA plug at the rear I/O , see if monitor have screen?

erm may sound abit rude but he is a com noob so i think should phrase it try plugging the vga connecting from your monitor to the other vga plugs you see. plug into everyone of it then try see if can. my friend got same problem this is how i explain lol.

erm may sound abit rude but he is a com noob so i think should phrase it try plugging the vga connecting from yourself in monitor to the other vga plugs you see. plug into everyone of it then try see if can. my friend got same problem this is how i explain lol.

did this only happen after you "force open" your casing? did you break anything in the process?

your motherboard have display port?

3 fan is turning, dun mean that other part of your computer no problem.

Yes it only happens after i open the casing..

I find it almost very hard to help you. We have been trying to throw back to you a lot of solutions but none of it you can even do.

Sorry i may sound harsh.

The best place to solve your issue is to bring it down to nigel shop and arrange with him for trooubleshooting.

Next time if you do not know anything please do not touch or remove any parts of the computer. Be it old or new.

First you need to identify whether the issue lies with the CPU or the Monitor.
To test this is fairly simple.

1) As you've mentioned in your post, if you tried your monitor with another devices and you receive a "No signal", it is prolly due to cable, port. However I conclude. And if it's faulty, the most common faulty display users will face are e backlight or inverter issue, if either of this is faulty you will see symptoms before, or straight to light black screen.

2) If you CPU have beeping sound, check the beeping code of your motherboard to know which hardware is having error.

3) If other devices produce imagine on your monitor, try to plug the monitor cable into ur mobo gfx usually e vga port (blue). and try booting again.

I re-read your post, you've purchased new cable and you receive "No-Signal"

High % it is because your cmos settings have switch it to onboard GFX. Proceed to step 3 and try.

Bro the thing is he doesnt know what the hell we talking bro.

All the things you mentioned to him is alien.

Cmos, onboard gfx, vga, dvi, inverter. Etc.

Afternoon all, the problem been solved after trying commach's method. Took out the 2x RAM stick and use eraser to clean and slot it back to another 2 unused slots(there's 4 slot btw) power up and works!
