Paiseh, bought my PC and waas bz DIY-ing myself this few days.

Have a few question so dont mind me asking here :D

Spec is

i5-4460 + Asrock h81m hds
Crucial 8gb ddr3
SSD not arrive yet from lazada
toshiba 1tb
Sapphire 280 dual x
Lg dvd rom
Superflower hx 600w

First i partition my 1TB , one to put Window 7 and one to to games and documents.

Installed MOBO driver and r9 280 driver.

1)Somehow i feel like quite laggy in terms of when i wanna start steam to
play CSGO or D2, it seems to take quite somtime to load.

2)Even if i tried to use chrome, it takes quite a few sec to load up .

3)As for T right, it takes a bit of time to load up also.

4) And my resolution for my Samsung monitor is 24" but the display have been shrink to 22" with black corners beside.
(Plugged HDMI cable to my graphic card)

Is this normal or is this weird for new PC.

Will be normal if it's just a normal 5400rpm harddisk. Wait for your SSD to be here and you will feel the difference.

The Toshiba is a 7200RPM HDD.

For the black corners, go to Catalyst Control centre and increase overscan.

Might want to download and run HD Tune and scan for bad sectors just in case.

you may want to download ccleaner to see if you have a lot of startup program that is not necessary. This will help to optimize your PC.

Get an external HDD.

use windows 7 backup function to back up the whole system as image file to the external HDD.

then plug in the new SSD, and remove the old thoshiba.

Use windows 7 startup disk to start the system and choose to recover the OS from the image. Plug-in the external HDD and refresh in the selection dialog window.

The rest should be quite straightfoward.

You don't need to reinstall anything.

1) What SSD did you buy?

2) Any external HDD? If got, state storage size of external HDD.

3) Got anything important in the Toshiba HDD?

1) Back up important stuff into external HDD.

2) Plug in SSD, remove/disconnect HDD.

3) Install Windows into SSD.

4) After installation is successful, shut down rig, insert/reconnect HDD.

5) Go to BIOS, change boot priority such that SSD boots first.

6) If boot to SSD is successful, format HDD.
