Navy should still go tekong, police is got home team academy.

Many factors. PES maybe one of the reason

No such thing as most likely. There's always a possibility for anything.

Don't worry abt going navy la.

Even if dunno how to float, u will learn how to eventually

It does actually in a way.

By right if you got A levels or Diploma u will be in the leadership batch that allows u to get into command school to become sergeants or officer.

the vocation is more of security clearance like those more sensitive vocation cannot

unfortunately the way MINDEF decides whether you are leadership batch or not is a lot more complicated than just looking at your academic qualifications.

got a friend who is a JC/poly dropout also went leadership and sispec and became 3sg.

got friends from poly and JC also went leadership and sispec and became 3sg.

got friends from poly and are god damn smart but never went leadership and became men.

i suspect MINDEF will take into account the MAPAS results and your CCA during your school days, cos during my BMT at least 80% of the REC in my company were from some uniform group.

as for security clearance, i remember during my BMT there is a china guy who barely understands english and needs his buddy to help translate for him and he was in the same leadership batch company as me. haiz... don't know what MINDEF was thinking by putting him in the leadership batch.

Not all from leadership BMT batch will end up command school even if the RECs express their interest.

For NS, NTC-2 (Nitec) rank lower the GCE O & for signing on, it is the opposite. During my time, those have Nitec & below will only end up become LCP while the rest will auto become a CPL because of their Dip & GCE A. Some GCE O graduates end up in SISPEC & become a 3SG while some NTC-2 graduates wish or kena arrow to become a CPL.

Now thing have change but I doubt Nitec have better chance compare to Dip/GCE A graduates to go command school. And mostly near to no chance to go OCS & become an officer.
