[Help] No Display on Screen in Normal Mode

Hi all, I have encountered a strange problem which I'm not sure. I was surfing halfway when my screen turned black and nothing happens.

I was forced to do a hard reset, tried going into Safe Mode, screen has display. I tried booting to Normal Mode again, got the black screen after Windows loading bar.

I thought maybe the gfx drivers was corrupted, went into Safe Mode and reinstall the drivers and tried booting into Normal Mode but result was the same.

Hope some seniors here can shed some light what seems to be the problem and possible solution.

if its fine in safe mode, shd be either startup prog or driver.

why not use driver sweeper and uninstall in safemode. then see if can boot normally with generic drivers in windows

Any recommendations how to detect which is the driver that's causing the problem? I haven't installed anything lately.

just restart in safemode n remove display driver first

It worked after using your advice to remove the display drivers. I manage to boot into Windows Normal Mode but the resolution was low probably due to lack of drivers.

I went to Nvidia site to install the latest drivers and problem came back...

Any solution to get back the normal resolution as well?

maybe os thinks u hav 2 displays... any display if u hit Winkey + P, then Enter?may hav to try a few times with pauses...

using 2 cards ah? maybe display being output to the other card

Haven't updated my profile. Currently only using the old GTX 295. Will try out the suggestion to see if works.

Suspect your graphics card going up lorry.

I have tried uninstalling the gfx drivers completely and it worked but it will go into 800x600 whenever I reboot my computer.

If I manually or let Windows automatically install the nvidia drivers, the problem of black screen will return. The screen is still active (it didn't go into standby) but it is just not showing anything but black screen without any cursor or anything.

Any idea could it be software issue?

since using latest drivers didnt help, i think gfx card dying. can try on another computer see if same problem

Thanks for the advice. I don't have another computer to try, so probably will wait for weekend to dig up another gfx to try instead.
