[HELP] NTU or SIT?

Hi everyone, I'm currently in a dilemma of choosing between NTU Physics or SIT Mechanical Engineering (Glasglow).

I am a Polytechnic graduate and my current situation is I have more interest and passion in Mechanical Engineering as compared to Science (Physics) because its more theory and research based.

However, I am currently only being offered Physics by NTU because my GPA isn't enough for NTU Mechanical Engineering.

Regarding looking for a job in future, is it true that I should just go for NTU and graduate with a NTU degree, because employers would prefer and prioritize a NTU degree over an SIT degree?

You need to ask yourself what you want to achieve in life. No point choosing a course that you have no passion in. I see many people in this forum planning to change course after 1yr due to lack of interest. I must warn you that studying is not for the sake of getting the paper in the end. It's about the learning experience you learnt in university and how you can apply it in your working life. With that, I wish you all the best in your decisions.

Before you choose.
Seek further advice from NTU asap. If I am not wrong, there is a change of programme exercise in december.

You can probably try to do your best in semester 1, and at the same time keep in touch with both your physics advisor/programme chair and the NTU mecha eng programme chair. Both side must know of your intention to change course early and you must start planning your modules for semester 1 on their advice so it will be easier to transit to mecha eng.
