Hi guys,

Gonna get a new desktop. Wanted to get 1 from those custom PC shop.

I saw a few company doing it. Mansa, Dreamcore, aftershock.. Currently I think aftershock promo is the best but a lot of bad review.

Need advice, is aftershock bad? Any other brand u guys can recommend?

I have heard some negative stories on aftershock too, but with their bigger operation size now that is also expected. I almost went with Mansa but ended up with Typhoon System, so far I’m happy with what I have gotten. Their location also very accessible.

Typhoon system seem to have less customize. i read all those negative review on aftershock also make me think twice..

back in 2016 aftershock was ok, now in 2018 I will think thrice before approaching them due to their expanded operations and larger orders to fulfill. i went to visit mansa at their warehouse at taglore lane and nearly went with them too :) hha

Physically no problem, but the components are not the best. Like the psu, gpu, mobo, ram all use the cheapest of the cheapest non-china type

After sale service is ok. I once email them due to user error and got a good reply. Hotline also working. So if u dont know how to diagnose problem with pc can use their service

Not really, while they have their pre-built system, they are happy to change any parts to your requested brand/model. In fact my system was totally based on my request (see right side specs). They are very flexible so just ask them. Price wised I think they are reasonable after doing some comparison.

One thing I don’t like about aftershock, they don’t tell you upfront about the brand and model of the part they use, although I heard from other forum member that they will tell you if you ask them. To be fair I think it might be a way to prevent confusion to the layman and not that they are hiding.

i just got my pc system from aftershock like...2 month ago. service was top notch and they are very accommodating (for me at least). so far no issues with the desktop, so no experience with the after sales service. cable management is clean too. overall im satisfied with them and their build.

They quoted me 1 month to complete the rig due to some parts are not available (8700k) and reaffirm me if the parts is available they will contact me. after a week they call and mention my rig is ready to be delivered. but i ask them to hold for me till end of the month since im moving to new place and they can just deliver there which they agree. so, i guess my experience on duration for completion of the rig is superb

Another thing i like about them is they are very accommodating if you wish to purchase certain part on your own (due to sales and everything). i feel paiseh to keep asking them re-quote every time i add certain hardware as my own and they still entertain me. I did the same to mansa and they stop replying me after like...2 revise quotes.

tldr: so far my experience with Aftershock is superb due to their flexibility to add your own hardwares, duration to complete the rig, delivery on time and the rig work as intended

Sounds really good.. they say there is no more graphic card 1070 ti, I m thinking to ask them for quotation without graphic card and instead use my own.
I message them on Facebook and they take 1 day just to reply my PM.

they normally dont reply through facebook. mostly contact through email. u can drop by their 'factory' to discuss too.

for me i bring my own gpu and cpu cooler. then i saw someone bring meshify c for them to assemble. wanted that case but too late i paid already and too paiseh to ask :s13:

Edit: anyway this is just what i experienced purchasing from aftershock. Have not try others like mansa typhoon dreamcore.

What u shud do is to have list of spec u want..list of things u wan to buy it urself..e.g rgb ram, certain gpu....ask all of them quote..then choose the one that you are comfortable with. =)

Sorry to hijack, does anyone know if I buy everything from the same shop in SLS, and ask them to assemble, do they charge extra for the assemble? Thanks
