Bro, for soundcard i think is an individual preference. I believe that the onboard sound from the motherboard should suffice. Assuming that you want to be a little adventrous and looking for a little better, can try the

ASUS XONAR DG Headphone Amp & PCI 5.1 Audio Card

Value for money in my context. For speakers can try to get a Swans M10... :s13:

Budget may blow... but can do it slowly... next phase...

Go for ASUS Xonar DGX, this uses PCI-e as compared to DG using old PCI slot.

IMO, the Asus Xonar DGX not much difference from onboard sound card. Maybe i'm not an audiophile which may be why I can't hear any difference when i was using my friend's com.

If TS is keen to get a sound card, you should consider investing in a good sound system as well.
