Hello All,

I am having this error on my AMD HD 7770 while playing MMO game recently.

"display driver not responding and has recovered" in windows 7

I used to encounter such error too but once in a blue moon on the MMO I am playing. Recently the MMO upgraded to a new version with more content and I am having this error almost every few minutes!

I read from the internet that it got to do with win 7 Timeout Detection and Recovery that forces the system to stop the graphic driver once it does not receive any respond after 2 sec.

I have done the following but nothing works:
1) Update latest graphic card driver
2) Reduce ingame setting
3) Increase the time Timeout Detection in the Window register from 2 to even as high as 10 sec!

I have no problem on watching video, playing the older version of the MMO except that this new version. Having about 8G DDR3 Ram with I5 4 core processor so I don't think it is an system issue.

Anyone having such problem and does it help if I upgrade to a more powerful card with more processing power? Thanks. :s12::s12::s12:

CS GO is Counter Strike .
download > start scan > start clean. its v simple to use

How often you get that error and you gets that recently or whenever u play CS:GO? I don't know if it is the amount of data that the card is processing cos after I updated my MMO to the latest version, I feel abit laggy on any movement probably due to the better graphic engines? And of cos the error appears from one in a blue moon to almost every few mins... which make the gameplay sooooo uninteresting... :s12:

Your problem on Youtube is new problem after you do the clean up or all along you have it?

Have been playing Aion something similar to WoW. and they just upgraded the version from 3.7 to 4.0(new content) few days back. That's where the problem starts appearing... I can't even quests.. and I tot it was due to new map but when I move to old maps, same error happen so I guess it got to do with the amount of data it is processing.

The day before the upgrade, I was playing fine and the error immediately surface once I login the new version. That's is why I can safely concluded that it is not my system, virus or whatsoever. :(

Just to update, I did the following and the error seems to be gone for now. At least for the 3 days of gameplay.

1) Disable SpeedStep in Bios
2) Increase the power to graphic card by 5%
3) Adjust the clock frequency to default for the graphic card.
