Help on motherboard

Good day all!

I currently had this issue whereby I got myself some new stuff including a motherboard ASUS H310M-A

So what happened is that I reused my harddisk and the rest are new, I boot up the system but the OS refuse to start and restart the whole system instead. I read around the place and I tried everything I read up on such as disabling the secure boot, CSM run, switching off various settings in BIOs it still didn’t work and the system even lock out my keyboard when I tried to install new OS which I read that I need to reinstall OS to overwrite the settings. I have run out of ways to settle this and any help offered would be greatly appreciated!

Please try re-seating the RAM and GPU.

If that doesn't work, you can try with a minimum setup i.e. CPU+MB, SSD and single stick of RAM.

Tried and didn’t worked

but you need to do some hack since the latest gen chipset doesnt support win7

I tried but they lockout my entire keyboard how can I even do anything

You need PS/2 keyboard to work.

FYI, you can inject the Intel 300 series USB drivers and get it to install but you will still encounter issues with the Intel graphics drivers. Just give it up and use Win10 lah...

The cannonlake chipset H310 will be difficult to support Windows 7. It only has Windows 10 native drivers from Intel. Some of the integrated hubs might not work as expected.

If the board was using Z370 (Union Point Kabylake chipset) there are official windows 7 drivers from Intel available for the long term. So what Pusheen said

So what happen is that I’ll have windows 10 installed soon when I’m free to carry my cpu to the shop.

Try using your windows 7 product key. if cannot dont use any product key also can work, but cannot change desktop background
