Hi Folks! Need help on a new rig build, out of scene for really long. Will greatly appreciate all the masters' help here.

I game at 3840*1600.

Budget of $2000 excludes GPU. I think I will wait for AMD 7900 series / NVIDIA 4080 release before deciding. I don't think I am looking at 4090 since I read that there is connector issues? I will use my existing 1080ti in the meanwhile.
No need for monitor, keyboard, mouse, OS etc, just the CPU excluding the GPU.

I am looking at a value for the dollar build.

I read that intel 13600K is a good value now?
I don't think I will be overclocking.

Edit
Ok so I did some homework myself. Reduced the budget without GPU to $2000. For sharing with others in case they are in a situation similar to mine, and also for people to advise if there are better alternatives?

CPU / Mobo - Intel 13600K + MSI MAG B660 Tomahawk Wifi DDR4 $758
CPU Cooler - Scythe Fuma 2 Rev B - $83
Ram - Crucial Ballistix Gaming RGB 3600Mhz CL16 - $119
SSD - WD Black SN770 2TB - $309
Case - Fractal Design Torrent Solid Black Casing - $246
PSU - Seasonic Focus GX 1000W - $275
Thermal Paste - Artic MX6 - $16

no la bro. not looking at water cooling.

just a budget I set aside. I was quite lost on the parts and brands to choose from. No need to be $3000 if don't need to, but can go there if it's justified.

Non-K 13th gen Raptor Lake CPUs coming out in Q1 Jan 2023... if you can wait just a bit longer..
Or skip Raptor Lake jump straight for Meteor lake 14th Gen, Q4 2023...
