Help on Osaka/ nagoya/ Hiroshima

decided to start a thread so answer wont get lost.


I will be up in travelling to Osaka region next week for meeting.


Meeting plan as follows:


Mon - Kobe (mtg Near Kobe Station) - Will be heading direct from Tokyo for Mtg in the morning, after which to Osaka, check in Hotel - Free from 3pm?)


Tues - Osaka (mtg near Kami Station, free from 12pm?)


Wed - Hiroshima??? ( )




Fri - Nagoya (near Asakura station)


Based on my meeting schedule above.
which place of visit can I slot in?


I'm only familiar with Kobe.


Planning to try an catch early bloom of sakura.

u are landing in Tokyo and travelling to kobe? it is about 3hr by shinkansen, will u be in time for morning meeting?

Yeah most of your destinations are in the Kansai region, flying to KIX would have been more feasible. Even with your trip to Nagoya, KIX would have been a better choice.

Just a wkday business trip up to Osaka area..

ok hotel is settle as follows:

16 -18 Osaka.

I have some free time here, any plc to visit, where the best plc to view sakura in Osaka?

18-19 Hiroshima

19-21 Nagoya.

Also, I think I will most likely extend the wk end, to tour Kyoto on sat, Sun. Since my JR Pass is stil valid.

Any hotel to rec? n which plc is better for sakura viewing?

1 more thing, my friend will be joining me for the wk end in Kyoto.


Any Pass he can purchase, to cover whole trip, esp Tokyo to Kyoto.

For Sakura viewing in Osaka..the most obvious place to head to is Osaka Castle...and the other place to go is the Japan Mint....2hrs train ride outside Osaka...you can go Mt Yoshino..another famous place for sakura viewing
