Put into fcl 3.65% 7 years retail bond and dont look at it for 7years. You will get approx 3.93% yield to maturity p.a.

Wow. I am interested in both. The fcl seems to have abit of risk. It's not guaranteed right? Do I need a broker to buy that bond?

For the ssb it looks good and easy to buy. Through ATM also can. And this month need to buy le. I will consider it. Thanks for the advise. Sorry noob here.

SSB every month have. Interest varies and nobody here will likely know what'll the 10-yr interest be for next month's issue.

FCL can buy through normal stock channels. As with all bonds, guaranteed to be redeemed at par by issuer upon maturity, if they're still around and don't default.

Please don't rush into anything, especially when it's about investing. DYODD.

Is 50k inclusive of your emergency funds? If not you may want to decide how much of an emergency fund you need and invest the rest.

Or you could just stick it into the bank with one of those higher interest accounts? No lock in and 50k is insured so little risk.
