Hi, recently I've built a new computer based with the built-in Intel H81 chipset. The computer could play video files with 720p resolution but occasionally the computer would display blank image and then continue. Sometimes there would be a Windows notification saying the Intel HD Graphics has crashed and recovered.

Tried with other video players and this occurs also. The computer has no other problem other than video playing.

Anybody has encountered such scenario? Any idea how to solve this? Looks like a bug but I already uninstalled and reinstalled the VGA video drivers. Thanks.

Disable hardware decoding. Go software decoding instead.

Try uninstalling every single player/codec in your com and install klite standard instead. By default, it should be using software decoding.

wah, dont scare me leh
the cpu is very new leh :(

Try what mythmaker said first.

But i can tell you the truth if hardware decoding cant work properly also a bit cui already.

If cannot even do software decoding properly then most probably if it is within 7 days still can go back to the shop 1 to 1.

Else got to RMA le.

I dunno Klite's performance, but considering that it is ffdshow based, probably not much different from CCCP.

Anyway, being a long time CCCP user, I am testing out the "newer" combo based on madVR or: MPC-HC + LAV Filters + xy-VSFilter + madVR

Oh, is TS trying to play some 10bit video? That may possibly explain the issue.

The videos I have been trying to test are avi and mp4 videos with 720p resolution, not sure if they are the 10-bit ones

have yet to try other smaller resolution ones

On another 5-year old computer they can be played without any issue and therefore the issue here
