Can someone help Pakcik understand DBS stock. Is Q1 a good time to buy DBS stock? When is it a good time to buy DBS stock in order to get the best dividend yield yearly? What is the present dividend yield and how often does it get paid? Pakcik is really worried about not having enough money in Pakcik's old age and was thinking of borrowing some funds to buy DBS shares.

What about UOB and OCBC?

Thank you in advance.

Pakcik no experience. but only see chart going up up up. but when is the best time to buy to get dividends? Pakcik is a newbie. For how long must you be a stock holder to be entitled to dividends and when are dividends declared and given? Thank you.

What so obsessed with DBS… ? Why last time never buy ? Why now suddenly want to buy? Why come edmw ask? Why don’t ask your broker? Who ask you to buy? Why now interest rate drop then come and ask? Why don’t ask AI? Why don’t ask your friend? Tell me why

Why Vespa? Why like automatic motorbike? Why don’t drive aprilla? Why aprilla piston jam also cannot? Why don’t drive Honda? Why don’t drive Yamaha?
not everyone is intelligent and wealthy like you. Please don't mock Pakcik or others who are less successful than you. Pakcik doesn't believe he has insulted or mocked you before.

So it's about 3-5% dividends a year. Pakcik was under the impression it was 7%. Ok, 3-5% per year plus stock price increasing yearly sounds like a good deal, better than OA at 2.5%.

Oh wow, seems like UOB is giving even better dividend payouts than DBS. and OCBC stock price has surged the most. wow.

Pakcik not familiar with such things. Thank you very much. Have bookmarked this site.

Sadly most dividend stocks (aka those that dole out on a regular cycle) are priced-in.

Really not much to think 1. Like the price just go in if that is your cup of tea.

PS.. this is not FP advice nor am I am qualified FA.

Once people talk about it in edmw and publish online and people in public talking about it, you know its over liao. The stock lost momentum already. DBS is not even a SEA leader anyway so it will always be limited.

There's no good time. But if you looking to buying now, can wait for the new tariffs impact and Israel/Iran war news to hit it's peak then buy. These things should cause stocks to dip for abit.

I will suggest members in the forum from refrain providing financial advices given that all of us do not know the TS, his financial objectives, risk appetite, financial needs, and so forth.

If TS needs someone for an advice, speak to a bank RM who is authorised to provide financial advices.
