[help] pc black screen

hi all,
recently i have encountered a problem with my pc, it will just suddenly go into a black screen, sound and everything still running, just the screen not showing anything.

after restarting the pc sometimes it can restart properly sometimes it cant, even after multiple restarts. then i'll have to hold down the power button and do a force shut down.

does any one know what could be the issue? im running a z97-c asus mobo and palit 970 gpu as well as a Corsair CS Series, CS650M, 650 Watt (650W) psu

well not too sure if it's your GPU, but since u can't see, means display issues, which could be these following:
GPU
cable
monitor.
