Just assembled a new set after a while. Things were ok until a day later when the unit will not power up beyond the windows logo and that revolving dots when I do a restart. Have to switch the set off and do a normal power up. PC will start from off though.

1) State the components used in your system.

2) Download and run Memtest86+ to test your RAM.

3) Download and run CrystalDiskInfo to check the SMART status of your storage drives.

1) State the components used in your system.
Asus Z97 Deluxe(NFC & WLC) mobo
Intel i7-4970k CPU
Gskill RipjawSX 32gb Ram
Samsung 850 Pro 512 Gb SSD
MSI GTX 970 4Gb Video card

2) Download and run Memtest86+ to test your RAM.
Ran the test and no problems detected.

3) Download and run CrystalDiskInfo to check the SMART status of your storage drives.
Ran the test and 100% good condition

I connected the set to an Apple thunderbolt display. Connected 1 displayport of the MSi to a displayport of the thunderbolt card and the other displayport of the thunderbolt to the hdmi port of the MSI using a converter cable.

can you try to go into safe mode? if you can, try to uninstall the nvidia drivers. then do a checkdisk on ur ssd.

i suspect either ur nvidia drivers corrupted or ur windows file corrupted. these 2 issue will prevent from goin into windows. just from personal exp.

Problem dissappeared after I made changes to the BIOS and removed some unnecessary connections to the USB ports. I made the pc run on normal instead of the optimal mode. After installing a liquid cooler, the problem did not reappear even after changing back to optimal mode. My new rig is rocking now! Thanks for all the guides...:s12:
