Hi,

I have a problem trying to boot to FreeDOS using RUFUS application to create a bootable USB.

USB used: 16GB Toshiba USB2.0 thumddrive
SW used: RUFUS. set to "MBR partition for BIOS or UEFI computer", FAT32, Create a bootable disk using FreeDOS.

In BIOS, the thumbdrive is recognised as UEFI device and i set it to first BOOT. no second boot device.

After saving the BIOS setting and restart. Thumbdrive did not boot and i was shown the BIOS screen again...

Anyone has any experience using RUFUS?

Thanks!

Background: I need to boot to DOS using bootable USB to apply wdidle3 on my scorpio blue HDD drive.... excessive load cycle problem.
