[Help]Recommandation for laptop

Hi all, My dad's netbook just broke down and he intend to get a new one..

He just need a simple laptop to use. Just need to listen to music, surf abit of net and check emails and do paperwork on microsoft powerpoint and word.

that's all..

I not sure about the budget, but is it possible to get 1 around $600-$800? just let me know if my budget is too low

If 2nd hand models, need to have windows 7 and warranty.

bro, is chrome book okay for yr dad ??
coz chromebook about 400-500 bucks...

if just 600-800, the models most likely dont not have larger screen and i not sure nowadays got netbooks as they got replaced by ultrabook. If i were to recommend, maybe up yr budget to 1k, there are quite a lot to choose from, e.g samsung ativ bk 9 lite, lenovo u330, asus S400

all i listed within 1k budget. All brand new windows 8 i5 haswell processor with touchscreen

korkor, windows 7 really gone liao....
u want can ask pc dreams if they have brand new windows 7 laptop. i think they had some on sale before
