Hi all, pardon me in advance if its too lengthy.
I plan to re-use some of my spare hardwares to do a partial build on a new HTPC.
Re-using back my monitor, speaker, wireless kb+mouse, ss pro ssd 250gb, 2x4gb ddr3 RAM, seasonic PSU bronze (500w iirc) and my Malaysia bought win7 (with geo locked).
What i do:
Mainly Surfing net, streaming video, watching and climbing drama/movie every day, and gaming once in a while at a lowest setting as long as its not laggish. More of a console person.
What i need:
The ONT/router is way too far, hence i would need a build in wifi on MB, or wireless USB adapter, whichever is recommended. A hugh storage, preferably, >5tb. As i tend to keep every of the photos/videos i've taken from a holiday, and my favourites media files like those US/HK dramas and anime.
My Enquiry:
The amount of media file will certainly increase every week, but i've already bought a lot of blurays to replace most of my favourite movies in my hdd. Is it still alright having 2-3 >4tb above internal hdd in one desktop, will it cause the PC to lag/hang/BSOD? Or is there any cheap alternative for storing media files as i am able to access it as and when?
My Budget:
$500, but can stretch more if needed.
Last of all, many thanks and appreciate all help/advise given.
