Case: Corsair 240 AIRFLOW
OS: WINDOWS 8.1
Monitor: ???

With that budget, better to have an SSD.

It is not just games that you will benefit. There are many benefits towards it.

1. Game loading reduce drastically. Such as Civilization, Diablo 3.... And the list goes on. It helps also for those move to checkpoints and the game does a save for you. Its smooth in transitions over a choppy HDD. Most of the games mentioned will benefit from smooth transition thru checkpoints.

2. Fast boot up of OS and other applications.

3. Overall stability and responsive of the OS.
