Hi guys, recently my com is giving me prob. Whole start up process takes a long time, application takes a long time to load. For example, while playing diablo3 it could load so long while entering a new game that i get disconnected (managed to circumvent this by lowering resolution to reduce load time, but game still lags momentarily during high action). Even selecting and exiting simple application like bittorrent take a good min or 2.

My casing power button also died. I have to start com from the power button on mobo instead.

I do not have any prob transferring files. My gut feeling tells me it could be mobo and ram issue as i had to resit my rams on other available slot when i notice my com dun start up.

My com is abt 3 years old. Using i5. Im having a WD 1tb hdd. My gfx is 760(changed recently only).

Im wondering if the situation could be salvage or im better off with new com.

If propose new com, i will reuse back the following, hdd(storage), gfx, psu, os64bit, kb/m, 23" monitor. I plan to get new case, ssd, mobo+cpu, rams16gb(or is 8gb sufficient)

budget probably ard 1k (gaming usually dota2 or d3)

Is self install hard? Cuz im not pro..

Hope to hear from u guys thanks

I suggest you first do an extended SMART test using the WD Data Lifeguard utility on your HDD.
