Hi all, me and my partner are travelling to Sapporo for 5 days during jan2019, having some difficulties looking for private onsen around susukino station. We won’t be staying at the hot spring’s hotel as we have already booked accoms... appreciate any help!

Thanks in advance!!!

Take a bus to Jozankei. Book a private onsen room at one of the hot spring hotels there. Or book a day-trip package.

Not all of them entertains day-spa so you will need to ask in advance. Take note some onsen only opens around 3pm unless they specifically do day-trips. Don't go too early (unless you want to walk around and see the stream in winter) and watch out for the last bus.

Thanks! Will take note and most likely as hotel concierge if possible to check for us 👍

I'm not familiar with day use onsen in hokkaido area, but you can try searching for 定山渓 日帰り プランand see what hotels area available.

定山渓 = jozankei
日帰り = higaeri ie day use
プラン = puran ie plan

日帰り プラン normally gives you ryokans/hotels that give you a day use room plus lunch plus onsen, so you can check in around 11am, do onsen for half hour, then go back to room have lunch then relax a bit and onsen some more in the afternoon before checking out around 3pm 4pm. It's a much more relaxing experience if you are with partner.
