I have some queries. My laptop is HP pavilion, It's been almost a week since that happened and apparently it doesnt start up so I guess I'm gonna send it for repair?
Anyone happen to know the approximate price to repair for HP?
I actually thought its as good as dead since its in contact with liquid.
Thank youuu.

The first thing I would do if that ever happens is to take the battery out.

Then open the laptop and get as much of the parts exposed to a fan and let it run for around 3 days.

If you know who LinusTechTips is, he saved his dell laptop after being exposed to rain one day. Video here - http://youtu.be/tASvbnODtq4

Hopefully the liquid isn't coke or coffee...

If you purchased the HP Accidental Damage Protection, it should be free, subject to one accident per year.

Hey all, thanks for the reply. I've decided to move to the repairing process already because i did let it dry as much as possible. Took out battery too. Yeah so I'd rather send it for repair. Its been a week so I kinda give up trying on my side lor /:

If u have a hair dryer use it..turn it on at low heat n blow it at the affected areas. Take out the battery if u can and also try to dismantle as much as u can so that u can blow it dry easier n wipe them dry. Dry it up as much as u can n leave 1 or 2 days without switching it on. After a few days try to on it again.

Done this a few times in my previous job, got spilled coffee lah, tea lah, fruit juice lah managed to resurrect them.

Hope u have success. I cant guarantee this will resurrect ur laptop tho.

Why want to pursue maths if you got no passion? By the time you work for 1-2 years, you will find where your interest lie. So not to worry. Choose wisely. If not you might regret.

TS should learn a lesson from this episode not to place water near laptop, it is a damaging and expensive process.
