Hello bros,

I have around $1k budget to upgrade this rig (slightly more or less doesn't matter). Its recently giving me blue screens and weird beeps. I suspect its the RAM but since I've been using it for many years, I thought I'd better upgrade the main components. Also, it really lags when i play games like Dragon Age : Inquisition, COD: Advanced Warefare, Evil Within, and even Castle Clash on BlueStacks

my current rig
CPU/Mobo: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 & Gigabyte EP45-UD3R - to upgrade
RAM: Kingston ValueRam PC2-6400 DDR2-800 8GB (4X2GB) - to upgrade
GPU: MSI Twin Frozr R7850 2GD5 2GB - to upgrade
Storage: Plextor M5 Pro 128GB SSD
WD Black 1TB HDD
PSU: Corsair AX 760w
Casing :CoolerMaster RC-932 HAF

I need your input on which to go for.. I have this so far which aint much :

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K & MSI B85M-G43
RAM: Need recommendation
GPU: Need recommendation

Thank you in advance.

Ram just 2x4gb of a decent value will do.
Kingston Hyper X Fury is a good start

GPU, go for 970 you won't regret it.
