[HELP] Using 120V appliance with computer

Hello, I want to use this Roland VT3 voice transcoder for my PC, it's from the US so it runs on 120V.
it says I can power it through the USB port, but will it still damage the appliance since we would normally need a step down transformer for the socket outlet

It's fine to just power from the USB port which provides 5V DC.

Don't use the AC adapter.

Take a look at the power adapter, if read 100-260v. If so, can be used here.
