(Help) What is wrong with my PC?

I left my computer on overnight and this morning I was expecting the lock screen, but before I even went over, I noticed the keyboard lights were off.

I turned on the monitor and tried typing on the keyboard and clicked on the mouse, there was totally no response and nothing on the screen. All the fans in the system were running.

I was forced to hard rest and there was no boot screen, no warning sounds, nothing on monitor, and no lights on keyboard either. System fans were the only thing I can see still running.

Any experts can help? Thanks.

Is the spec of your rig on the right?

I'm not expert. But usually, the mobo will tell u the 'errors' by beeping in certain sequence or maybe a message on screen. For it to be just dead... sounds like mobo issue then?

sorry to hijack your thread..

i having the same problem with you, but during boot up
only can heard warning sounds.
and also mine is like one day can run smoothly other day cannot.. need help too!

you may have to research the 'warning' sounds. e.g my comp beeps 3 times, if it is a graphic card issue. My gfx was either loose or have dust in the connectors...because if I push/adjust the card, it works ... for a while.

google your mobo model, and find out what the 'warning sound' means.

I know sounds are warning of certain faulty components. But with nothing on screen and no sound, what could be the issue?

It just went blank halfway through the night.

I just checked, the power and reset button on the mobo still lights up, but the graphics card fan isn't moving.

But if it's gfx, can't possibly that the keyboard no lights too.

Very jialat to surf on mobile phone for info.

Any burn smell from the computer? Let the computer cool down for a while before on-ing it again. Maybe PSU overheat or something.

Or you want try bring to PC service shop for them check for you?

No burnt smell detected. PSU should be okay coz it still fires up the system fans and mobo lights when turned on.

Will the gfx cause such error (no lights on keyboard and not booting)? This is because I noticed the fan on the gfx not moving when I turn the system on.

Or would CPU error cause this?

Ram wise I know there would be beeping sounds if it's faulty.

I would rather not carry the case down coz of the weight and size. Hope to troubleshoot myself coz sometimes unreliable shops will just tell you to change like the whole system just to make your money.

My next system will definitely be a mini-itx.

PSU should be okay coz it still fires up the system fans and mobo lights when turned on...

Cannot safely assume that cos the PSU could still be critically failing altho' not fully dead.

Best check with another proven PSU or lacking that, maybe a DMM to see if the PSU voltage lines eg. 12V are still good enough for the rig to do a POST.

DMM = Digital Multi Meter. Not all does have DMM and knows how to use it.

Frankly, I just go to the closest one there is when I need repair... which happens to be cyberactive (SK mall). I'm too lazy to lug the CPU far away, and if I have to take taxi I might as well have use the fare for the repair even if they are overcharging me. That way, I still save 'time'.

i having the similar issue... but my keyboard & mouse have light.
worst thing is most of the time i do hard reset, my com will keep restarting before it enter the login screen, & i had to turn off the PSU switch & restart everything again.

for my case can i say is PSU issue?
