if u sure u want to be a teacher then just go check NIE.

if u do accountancy / engineering then u have to go NIE to train for 1-2 years before becoming a teacher. please think clearly what u want and which are ur stronger subjects (say are u better in writing essays or calculating or science etc) and check the job market trends. the in topic now is tech disruption.

otherwise, engineering will be better choice than accountancy and lower cutoff as well. u dun have A math background will u be able to handle the calculations?

If I’m not wrong the lowest cut off point I’d heard of for business this year is 3.6+ (very rare cases), and it’s even higher for accountancy. There’s really quite a great difference haha, so I wouldn’t suggest putting accountancy as first few choices as it’s wasting your choices.

What subject do you want to teach in the future? Personally I would recommend NIE as well. If I’m not wrong engineering requires a hell lot of math, and all my friends who study engineering are really really good at math!

Are there any other courses you’re interested in?

If don't mind can go try sit and suss. Both have accountancy course

SIT accountancy cut of is 3.6. I know for a fact even 3.5 is rejected without interview. SUSS accountancy cut off is 3.5(could be lower but i have never heard of people getting in with lower). There may be difference between FT and PT cut off, but not much.
If you do a non popular course, you can go NTU.

Getting very competitive now. In 2013, my senior could qualify for NUS and actually got into NTU. He got 3.56.
Now your only real option is SIM.

Agreed. Sorry to burst your bubble. Accountancy seems like a popular course among all autonomous Us, NUS/NTU/SMU/SIT/SUSS. Try other courses. :)

Actually I think the cut off point for business and accountancy have both been dropping this year due to people going IT related courses. Used to be 80+ rp last year but this year I know of people who got in with 70rp.

No harm trying, Dropped a year doesn’t mean the trend will continue. No clear way of predicting

What if i have quite a bit of portfolio to use? do you think the chances of getting into Engineering or Accountancy using discretionary admission is higher? Let's say, committee member for a leadership/community service cca, owns a social enterprise, volunteers actively etc.
