HELP! Win 8.1 100% disk usage

Need help! My computer has been auto running 100% disk usage at the same timing everyday! I found out that i couldn't use my computer from 7pm to 10pm because the disk usage is at 100%. Tried many ways but to no avail. Can anyone help?

yeah i got this problem before then the windows ran damn slow because of the Memory usage close to 100% so i did a reinstallation of windows.

Check background processes like alifffresto mentioned.
Ctrl + Shift + Esc

Could it be a scheduled disk backup or maintenance thing (if hdd - defrag?) running that you forgot about? Esp if it's same time everyday.

Open Task Manager, Performance see which process/application eating up your disk.

Guys i remember correctly that its not the disk defragmentation scheduler problem cause i check it. But idk what time it will run... It will run weekly but my disk usage is 99% every 7pm to around 10pm.

I cannot check the task manager now cause its only 5:50pm.

Im using eset security. I do a scan every week or sometimes 2 week once. Shouldn't be virus unless someone create a backdoor to my comp to do a DDOS lo

Then openup process 5 mins before 7 loh... In case at 7 freeze till cannot move mouse.. Once ticks 7 hopefully you can see what program that's utilising the disk...

TS just reformat and reinstall Windows. Painful but no other choice.

The symptoms sound like someone hijacked ur comp to do scheduled bitcoin mining though. Speculating, haha.

Sorry i cant post photo. But from what i see now is ESET service(which is the anitvirus), service host: local system and system at the top 3. Can eve go up to 4mb+ per second. LOL
