i just bought an OEM win 7 - 64 bits home premium from a retail store this afternoon. i am currently running window vista 32 bits. i try to boot the win 7 disc.. i restart the computer with the win 7 disc inside but it will not boot... it goes into a blank page for about 50 sec and goes back to window vista. i had checked my boots sequences in my bios and its set to dvd-rom before hard disk.

can anyone help ?

first of alll can the disc be read?

boot windows and see if the disc can be accessed.

another reason could be the pc is nt supported for 64bit, would advise you to list out all the specs of your computer.

See if your disc works from within Windows first. Either way it will tell you if your computer's not compatible, from boot or not.

If it doesn't see if the computer is able to read another disc, or see if another computer can read this disc.

You can also download the .iso for Windows 7 Home Premium x64 from Microsoft's servers here: http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-58997.iso
