hi,

I am using ssd and 1 hdd in my computer. My main window is install on ssd drive.

Iniatially when I first diy my comp, the booting up my windows is extrememly fast.

After adding another 1 hd making it 1 sdd and 2 hdd, I reinstall the windows, the booting up was very fast. But after install the driver and update the windows, why it take some times to boot up?

can anyone tell me what is wrong with my pc??

Disconnect all hard disks and see if fast boot return? If so, then one of the hard disk is dying. If not, your SSD got issue.

Is there alot of startup applications? That might affect the boot up timing too..

no. When I reformat the hdd and reinstall the windows. it is dam fast. After installing the driver and update the windows. It takes 5 - 10 seconds to boot the windows. Before it is not like that but recently only.

This is normal, the OS get bloated through hundreds of patches from MS.

Another thing is addition of secondary HDD will add seconds to boot time as the OS need to access the disk during boot. So the more secondary HDD connected, the longer is the boot time.
