Help with Acer X34

am trying to hook up my laptop ASUS 702 970M
to a Acer X34

the HDMI seems to be unable to overclock, only the DP input on the monitor can. But my laptop only has mini DP /thunderbolt

can't seem to find any useful cable out there?

any suggestions?
