Thank you for the input. A total newbie when it comes to custom build.

I want something small (+-) and quiet like the mac mini. Will be using it for msft office (many windows at once), home use (surfing and youtube) and basic gaming (Dota 2 (High), counterstrike (High) and hopefully it can scale for future title in medium setting).

Hope this machines can support displays at 2560x1600 pixels easily. (considering ultrawide 21:9 in the future mainly aiming at productivity)

Like a typical Singaporean, the cheaper the better (4-5 years use).

edit - Wifi (a must) and bluetooth (if possible)

Thank you.

Below 1k will be ideal. Instead of saying mac mini, small form factor will be the better term.

We can use Mini AC WIFI Adpater to reduce the cost.

Thank you for your help.

CPU+MB+WIFI+BT: Intel Core i3-4150 + Gigabyte GA-H97N-WIFI @ $301
Motherboard already comes with Intel Wireless-AC 7260, which is still one of the most popular, stable, high throughout wireless card.
RAM: Crucial DDR3-1600 CL11 8GB @ $60
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 960 2GB ITX OC @ $329 (PC Themes)
SSD: Transcend SSD370S 256GB @ $132
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB @ $70
PSU: FSP Hexa+ 450W [80 Plus] @ $58
CASE: Jonsbo V3+ [Black] @ $79
At just 10 litres, making it one of the smallest mITX chassis.
This Mac-inspired brushed aluminium chassis resembles that of Mac Mini, just larger at 5 times its height.

Total: $1029

Optional:
OS: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit Product Key [OEM] @ $33 (G2A)
Download ISO here.
And upgrade to Window 10 Pro for free thereafter. Save yourself $100.

Buy others from Tradepac, #05-18.

Thank you both Jian19 and MoneyFace =P for the great build!

If I were to spend a little more to get a i5 processor, which i5 processor will be recommended for the system?

Thanks alot once again.
