Yeah, read through my policy again and what you've wrote in this thread.
Its kinda pointless coz the guaranteed return is kinda low.

Yours is PruFlexiCash, how is the death benefit like ?

For PruFlexiCash Protection Plus, the death benefit is 4 times the sum assured, so premiums paid are channeled to service this high death benefit.

I see those who are supporting BTIR have significant amount of $ for investments and are financially savvy, BTIR is nothing to them.

That time I asked on another thread, no one answered me when I asked who invest solely in ETF for their BTIR strategy

The truth is, those who advocate BTIR also have the capital to engage in other investing activities and not just the solely "put yr money in ETFs on monthly basis" which many of you guys are saying when talking about BTIR

I think I saw quite a few forummers following the BTIR method, check through Shiny Things' thread.

A lot of the BTIR crowd don't go into insurance related thread to reply.

Yes because they are anti-insurance

Simple as that

If that is your choice, go ahead. No one is stopping.

Chill.
I do not mean Shiny Things. And they do buy insurance, example hospitalisation and term insurance.

This is a good thread

http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/money-mind-210/buy-term-till-what-age-5198136.html

My posts there are targeted at those who keep on screaming BTIR is the best, good returns, definitely better than whole life plans

Let me tell you. If investments is so good, so great, everyone would have dump all their money into the stock market. Insurance companies and banks will all have collapse.

You really need to chill.

Even though investing is good, not everyone knows. The amount of people who have CDP account in SG is around 10% IIRC.

Insurance companies hire people to spread and market their product a lot.
Banks are already there since one has been born.

Brokerages is still something most people have no idea of.
Even if something is good, if nobody spreads it, it would still be a kept secret. Investing is a long process and by the time one really enjoys the benefit, one may not share anymore and retire happily to chill and relax.

Also, BTIR ETF requires consistent discipline, a lot of folks fail at that due to 1-2 year of downturn and just claim it doesn't work.

Again, chill.

My points are very clear in the thread itself

Btw no one has responded whether do they solely invest in ETF for their BTIR strategy.

I have already told you there are some in Shiny Things' thread. If you are really determine to find them, you will.

They are just not interested in other threads or wanna debate the points with others.

Also, if you read Seeking Alpha, there would be quite a few who does BTIR ETF, they even have an app for that IIRC.

u can email ur insurance company and ask them what's the surrender value.
they probably ask u why u want to surrender, u ask them why u get less than u save lol.

I ended my GE savings after 3 years.

btw technically it's not a savings plan, it's a loan to u.
they charge interest penalty to u if u had late payment.

ask ur self, which bank charge u interest penalty if u can't save in a particular month lols!

moved all my cash to fixed savings , shares and biz expansion.

I think the draw for this plan is that you are covered for term insurance + savings, as from 3rd year onwards can cash out liao.

The conservative types would prefer to let the cashback value roll, whereas people like me would prefer to draw down every year after the 3rd because it forces me to save some cash, rather than dump all my disposable income into the stock market.
