your resort will provide the transportations for transfers. chargeable. The resorts have individual booths at Male airport to assist you with the transfers be it boat/seaplane.

Cost will depend on distance of island from Male.

Take up the 'AIP' - All Inclusive Plus package. This will cover your food and drinks as well as some basic water activities like snorkelling and wind surfing lessons..

I read that to save cost best to get resorts near the airport. You will travel via speedboat instead of sea plane then it will be cheaper.

some resort dont provide free flow of drinking water so beware..

the sea sport and the sun make dehydration easily

so either you buy your bottle water from resorts or at the pier ...

and ask for bucket of ice for your room too lolz

as for diving .. i find the price ok ..unless you are going on board fourseason explorer :s13: that one will cost you a arm or leg :s13:

for me i dont check into resort when arrived male , i will start in hotel at city ..i took their local ferry cheap cheap less than US$5 then stay for the next night ..next morning ... then take resort speedboat to resort ...

IMHO you should ..

the resort per nite cos > US$300 per night but if arrive late you only spend your hours there zzz ... their city hotel room ... < US$200 ..with no facilities ..just nice for zzz ... then chiong to resort on earliest available speed boat and enjoy everything on resort early

more value worthy :s13:

sorry ..i am a very giam person ..this is how i plan or think :o

the luxury resort there really top notch .. but the cost lolz .. scary

1 nite easily > US$1K .. pple can spend $10K for 14 days europe tour but $10K can only allow one to spend only 4-5 days in luxury resort and the price exclude air tix :s13:

but then must still go once in a life time .. afterall sea level is raising ..soon..this might become sunken city =:p

I go on a diving safari on board a 100 ft yacht the MV Dreamcatcher II
full board, 16 dives, 8D7N, sometimes as low as USD700 per person when there is last minute promo

Agree. Make full use.
Earliest maybe no point. Unless they allow early check in?

It's something I definitely won't mind but my partner doesn't dive.

There is a promo 4 - 11 Jun 16, about USD 1600 for 2 pax 1 week (excluding airfare).
Non-diver shld be cheaper. Non diver just while the time away on board, or can do island hopping, fishing while others go diving.
PM me if interested. I have been on this boat a few times, got to know the manager & helping him pass on promo info to divers here.
