Help with mobo

Hello I have a pc thats currently running on i5-2320 and asrock h61m/u3s3.
im using 2 sticks of gskill 4gb ram and sometimes when i start my computer i get a black screen and the bios beeps 4 times. I googled it, some say its a faulty motherboard, other sources say its regarding a loose ram, i tried resitting the ram and it could start up, but then the problem comes again. do i need to take my mobo or ram for rma?

Isolate the ram first.

Try one ram first. I believe you have at least 4 slots try each slots and see if you can boot up.

Next try the other ram on each slot and see can boot up.

If either one of the ram can't boot properly like have beeps from the mobo it could be the ram faulty.

You can also download memtest and burn the image to a cd.

Test it with 1 stick and if it passes the 2nd or 3rd test which takes 10 or 15mins, then test with the 2nd stick. Rma the one that has errors.

Usually a faulty ram has errors when it goes through the first test.
