Help with my first PC Build

Hello guys, I will be using it for work (just multi tabs on browser), media consumption and gaming (FFXIV,MH,FF series, Horzizon, TR, CP2044). Am into good graphics than fps tbh but would be nice to strike a good balance. Any help and advice in the parts listed is very much appreciated!


This is what I picked out for:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE AX DDR4
CPU: Intel Core i5-13600K 3.5 Ghz
GPU: Asus STRIX GAMING OC GeForce RTX 3080 10GB 10 GB (Was considering this but I am not overclocking)
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 ( was reccomended by youtube; is there a massive difference with 3200 and 3600mhz and CL16 or CL18?)
Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD (Is it too overkill to this good of an NVME?)
Second Storage: Crucial P3 1 TB (Have one existing already)
PSU: Corsair HX1000i-1000W Platinum
AIO: EK AIO Elite 360mm D-RGB All-in-One CPU Liquid Cooler
Case: Lian Li LANCOOL III RGB ATX Mid Tower Case
Monitor: Gigabyte M27Q-X (welcome to a 4k options as I work with a lot of text so the sharpness and clarity will help)

Intel likes high speed RAM so I would suggest at least DDR4-3600. Slight difference between CL16 and 18, which one to go for depends on the price difference.

Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD (Is it too overkill to this good of an NVME?)

The 980 Pro is a good choice. At current prices, no point going for budget SSDs.

For the GPU, ASUS STRIX is the high end range but expensive.
ASUS STRIX isn't for mean just for overclocking but have better quality.
SSD wise it depends on your usage since mostly gaming either the
Samsung 970 EVO plus or 980 pro will do fine.
