Hie all,

Can anyone recommend me a good custom rig that I could use for watching shows, surfing net and photo editing. Looking to build with a budget of 1k minus monitor.

Thanks

Do you use photoshop intensively? And is it an everyday thing you need to do. And do you wish to game?

No, not intensively. But probably every once or twice a week will use it, for leisure. Gaming wise not so much for now I guess.

I plan to have two hard disk like a SSD to boot up and a secondary do hard drive for storage. Do you think is a good idea? Can also recommend me a good monitor say about 300 to 400.

If you need more space and ssd and don't intend to game then can get a lower tier GPU.

Asrock b75m dogs + i5-3350p ~ $271
Adata 1600mhz 8gb ~ $85
WD green 2tb ~ $110
Silicon power v60 120gb ~ $120
Gigabyte gtx650 2gb ~ $191
Cm 311 + fsp hexa 500w ~ $105
Windows 7 home premium OEM 64bit ~ $115

Total $997 buy at tradepac. Diy

I just realised you added the OS inside too. Is there any parts that I can upgrade without the OS price?

Why not change gpu to 7770 or 7750? IiRC, either AMD or nvidia works fine for Photoshop.
