Help with PC Build (1.5k Budget)

Hello. I need some advice on building my first gaming/working PC. I know other people have already posted this topic a thousand times but i require the assistance.

Currently using a 3 years old AFTERSHOCK MX-15 Elite laptop.

Want to build a gaming PC cos i feel it's time for an upgrade and also, i'm sick of playing FPS in medium settings and low FPS on some games. Did some research and found out getting AMD is better then Intel if you are on a budget.

What i need from the PC is 1080 gaming, 4k is optional.
Able to play FPS, GTA V, FarCry etc in high settings.
Able to process photo and video editing.
Best if the parts can be upgraded for future.
BUDGET: 1.5K for pc only, already have monitor

Lastly, getting everything in one shop would be preferred as it easier for me, but im open to suggestions.

Mobo+CPU – Gigabyte B450 AORUS M + 3600: $455
GPU – Gigabyte RTX 2060 6GB OC: $408
Memory – G-Skill Sniper X 3600mhz 16gb kit: $111
NVME M.2 – Crucial P5 512gb: $98
HDD Storage – WD Blue 2TB: $82
Case: Cooler Master MASTERBOX NR400 MATX: $78 (Personal preference)
PSU: Cooler Master MWE Gold 550w V2 FM: $102

Total: $1,334 (Based on Bizgram pricelist, lazy to check others)

You will still have $166 left for keyboard + mouse. You can change to a 2.5" SSD, a cheaper PSU to save some money as long as the PSU is from a good brand. You can also go for a cheaper mobo, depending on the features you need.

With this, you should be able to easily get 60-100fps on 1080p.

See if any senpais here have any comments on my recommendations.

everything's in one shop, can try PCthemes at sim lim.

they quite famous, also they can quote u a cpu build within minutes on the spot if u can tell them your kind of usage etc

just an alternative way, those kind bros below also offered informative advices but in case if you have encounter stock issues sourcing the parts components then can try the above suggestion.

I tik cant get any new GTX 1080 anymore now. Try carousell if u r still keen on it.

Rest of the parts....go to sls n buy....get a pricelist to compare n if u wan the shop to assemble, pay a small fee.

I dunno whether u can switch ur win10 from ur mx15 to ur new pc else nid get new win10 too

If u wan games to be high/extreme setting....try GTX 1080Ti

Oso can go for AMD GPU too...but make sure ur PSU got higher power

PCThemes. You can change the 5600x to 3700x and the gpu to whatever you want according to your budget but at the current moment there's nothing more worth at the cost due to current gen. That's the thing that sucks being stuck in between two gens. But I insist, up your budget to 1.8k and get the spec I provided. It's the latest and probably the best performance to price ratio especially at 1080p. Will be able to run 1080p max settings for much much longer

curious..why 3200mhz ram? isnt 3600mhz the most ideal ram?

also, 5600x + 3070 should be more than enough to max out 1440p right i.e. over 100fps on ultra settings in games? (i seen benchmark videos on youtube)

If possible, please change that case. Airflow is crap on that case. At least Cooler Master NR400 at $89 or Fractal Design Focus G Mini at $79.

No idea. This is just a rough guide of what you can expect to get with the budget without taking stock into account. If you compromise and get last gen stuff like 3600 or 2070S, you're not maximizing your performance per dollar.

Bring this list around to other stores like tradepac, mediamart,viipc and compare. Happy hunting.
