Hi all,

Hi recently my computer been acting strange. It would hang in the process, and upon reboot no display, only the fan sound as if it is booting normally.

Pretty similar to this problem
http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/hardware-clinic-2/issues-computer-4195623.html

Specs are
intel i5-750
gigabyte p55-ud3
1* 8GB kingston ram
sapphire 1GB 5770
acbel 650w PSU
Hitachi 250GB
WD 500GB
Samsung 1TB HHD

the samsung HD has bad sector recently, Does it contribute to the problem or as the other thread suggest the PSU??

Thanks all

My friend had a similar problem with his Dell system. Almost same specs and in a few months after buying the system he faced this problem. Initially he tried pulling out the ram, cleaning it and then putting it back in its place. it worked for a while but then he had this problem again. Turns out the real problem was with his Hard disk. It had bad sectors and that is why the system did not boot. What you can do is contact the service team and get it fixed by them but they take time. I would suggest contact someone who can replace the hard disk and then check if the problem still exists. Its not a big problem though it looks like one.
