Help with PC Network connectivity!

Hi,

recently my PC crashed but I am unable to connect to the internet after.

Can anyone advise what can I do or if there is there a shop they could recommend in Sim Lim to go to to troubleshoot this?

Dummy over here. Confirm not ethernet cable prob or internet or modem or router cos the other laptops/PCs in the house can work. I had tried swapping ard the cables and all and it still cant work.

Assuming you are using windows go to control panel and see if your network interface is enabled.

Try update your gigabit ethernet port drivers. Might be ethernet port faulty. If that is the case, just use a wireless adapter to connect to the internet or install a pcie network adapter if you want to connect to the internet through wire connection.

What do you mean by PC crashed? Can elaborate further? You might want to check your internet drivers under device manager if all are accounted for. If its laptop, check that you have not turned off the wifi. Are you using Win 10? also check that you have not set any static IP address.

Go to Device Manager, expand the Network Adapters, right click on the Network Controller then select "Disable Device", wait for 15 seconds, right click again then select "Enable Device".

Go Window search bar type troubleshoot network. Window will try to fix for you.
