Help with PS4 Pro HDR settings.

Hi guys,

I purchased a PS4 Pro recently, and hooked it up to my Samsung UHD tv (UA50HU7000).

While i am able to play my games at 4k resolution(3840x2160@60p), i am unable to play it in HDR as my UHD tv does not support HDCP 2.2.

Are there any devices which would allow my tv to bypass the HDCP 2.2 signal, and thereby being able to play in HDR?

I don't have HDR tv but maybe you can try turning off HDCP on the PS4:
Settings > [System], clear the checkbox for [Enable HDCP].

I have the same Samsung tv and the similar problem with the hdcp2.2 . I checked the user manual, and if I'm not wrong, only HDMI Port 3 has MHL which supports HDCP 2.2 but I haven't been able to activate the HDR yet. Need to tinker with it some more. Been trying to find an answer as well.

Your TV model doesn't support HDR. Your only bet is to try and source for a Samsung Evolution kit 2015 but then again it was only released in the US and reported to have compatibility issues with local tvs as it was for the US markets. The enabled HDR capability is only for 2014 high end models such as HU9000, HU8700, and HU8550. So i am also not sure whether it adds that to your tv if you do get hold of the kit. Thanks for the info king81. Quite bummed that my supposed 4K Tv can't fully utilize the ps4 pro capability. Hopefully there will be a firmware patch or something to help with this soon. Will go read up the link you sent.

Yea I realized that now. Just gotta make do without HDR for now I guess. Could I ask everyone which then would be the best settings i should use for now?

Then choose highest resolution for your ps4 lor

But bro for the age of 30+++ and above our eyes cant really appreciate higher quality than full hd one liao .

Cause our eyes easily tired. Sometimes technology is a double edge thingy
