Help with ram slot blocking gpu backplate

I purchased a MSI b85m-g43 yesterday with a Powercolor 270x and can't install the gpu because the ram slot is blocking it.
If I were to change my motherboard, will it make a difference or will the ram slot still be blocking it?

Nope... The RAM slots are indeed too close to the line of PCIe X16 beneath it...

Even competing motherboard have more clearance:

Get this instead for just $10 more.. ROG styled, Killer LAN, K CPU overclockable....

Actually the powercolor r9 270X by right should not be touching the Ram slot.

I dont see why i have a friends com that can be used to install the r9 270x on his msi b85 g43. Cause by right the PCB board should be just below the Ram clip.

By right it shouldn't block if the RAM is installed properly. Must push hard until the clip goes back to vertical position. I suspect you didn't push it hard enough so the clip is still slightly open and blocking the x16 slot.

Should be user installation issue, just can't imagine motherboard designer blot on this!
