Help with RMA Asrock mobo.

Hey guys, tomorrow heading down to Asview to RMA my motherboard.
Have a few question.

1) Do I only have to bring my motherboard? No CPU attach or RAM.

2) I lost my receipt but I have taken a picture of the receipt in case I lost it, will they still accept?

3) If I bring my mobo with my CPU attach will they help me remove the thermal paste and put on the a one? I'm asking this cause I don't have any rubbing alchohol with me and if they exchange me a new motherboard I can't test it at home cause of the above reason.

Usually for RMA cases just bring down the faulty board, no other components required.

As for removal of components and the receipt, it's up to their discretion so it's best that you give them a call before you go down tomorrow

Another question, can I remove thermal paste from my CPU using nail polish remover?

Not recommended, as the nail polish remover may have some other chemicals in it.

Go to Guardian and buy the 90% isopropyl alcohol, should be good enough

Either buy one off ebay or do this in front of distro CSO

Yeah it's quite a long process.
I did mine recently in Nov and got it back in Dec. About 4 weeks for RMA. Thank goodness I got it done through a local vendor who managed the entire process for me. So no worries about anything except to wait.

Yeah, maybe I'll just get a new mobo in the meantime, once my Asrock one be back guess I'll be making a 2nd PC
