I will be re-using the GPU, PSU and storage from my old build. The rest (CPU,Case,RAM,MOBO,Cooler) will be bought. Any feedback or issues with the build or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

My old build could not run a lot of modern games at steady frame rates (FFXV, KCD,Apex Legends) because my CPU was bottlenecking my GPU. I would also like to stream gameplay on twitch.

I am currently playing on 1440p, with a 144Hz monitor.

I tried asking around for the prices of my parts at Sim Lim but they are much more expensive than buying online through Newegg or something similar. Also a lot of shops don't carry lian li case or the aorus motherboard. I was wondering how would warranty of my parts work if I didn't buy the parts locally? Also would anyone know roughly how reliable Newegg delivery is? Will the parts come in good condition? Any help or feedback would be appreciated thanks!

for windows 10, you can consider buying from lazada for less than 6 dollars.

i bought it and it's working. just that is only workable on the same MOBO once you use the key.

you can reuse the same key on the same mobo, save money.

i also bought microsoft office from lazada too.

for MOBO, best is to buy locally instead of newegg, other parts like ram, storage or casing can buy from newegg.

Take note that if u buy case online need to account for shipping to singapore. The shipping for case normally quite expensive.

Even after converting to SGD it is still cheaper on newegg compared to a shop like fuwell. For example Fuwell sells my CPU + MOBO combo at $884, on newegg it is about $800 SGD so I am quite reluctant to buy locally

but you're looking at local warranty though. if you rma is need to send back to them and that's a really long wait.

Mobo, psu & gpu are big in size and thus adds more volumetric weight. It would be recommended to get locally. For gpu, u can consider EVGA as rma is to taiwan rather than USA for all other gpu brands.

Your copy of windows if already activated on an existing PC cant be used for your new PC unless its the full retail type or you had already asked Microsoft to deactivate it.


As long as you know that local distro need not entertain your overseas purchases, you are free to decide if it is worth getting from overseas websites.

The only thing I would consider buying from newegg/amazon are the small size items like ram and ssd so it's cheaper to ship back if unlucky enough to get DOA sets.

Bulkier items better don't test luck.
