Hey guys, need some help with my PC. Intend to upgrade the GPU alone due to a very restricted budget. Here's my current config

i5 750 @ 2.66Ghz
Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3
2gb x 2 1333Mhz Ram
Vapor-X Radeon HD5770
600W PSU

Was thinking of upgrading the 5770 to either the 7970 (Black edition) or the gtx 770, followed by the overclocking of the 750. Any thoughts?

Intend to play games like bf4 and gta 5 (cpu intensive though...)

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion! Actually considering upgrading the RAM as well. Just bought a SSD, and damn this thing is flying. Anyway, here are the choices I have atm (all 2nd hand though)
- A 280x for $200
- A 770 (2gb) for $230
- A 7970 GHz edition for 170 (read that this thing is similar to the 280x
- A 290 for $250 ( with extra warranty)

PSU as old as your PC? I believe that will need to be replaced too...

Yup, the thing looks old haha. Its an andyson 600W F600M.

Right now the main problem I have is choosing over the GPU. Planning to upgrade the cpu + mobo in the distant future, so I really have no clue which GPU to get.

Thanks :)

Consider ur psu is few years old and 280x require pretty high wattage to operate....
