Help with upgrading my gaming computer

Hi, I recently bought a GTX770 to upgrade my gaming com. Graphics look super good, but it still seems to lag in built up areas (eg. forested areas in ARMA 3).Currently I'm using an Intel i7 950 with Asus Sabretooth X58 mobo and 6gb ram. Should I upgrade my mobo cpu and ram?
I have dabbled in OC before, but for my new com, I'm thinking of not doing so, main reason is my com is located under my desk and the heat builds up quite fast, Dad complains about it a lot.
Based on the forums, I should be aiming for a H87 mobo.
Any suggestions for
Mobo: ASrock H87 perfomance/Gigabyte H87-D3H/MSI H87 G43 gaming, others?
CPU: I5 or I7?
RAM: 8Gb which brand?
CPU cooler: Liquid cooler useful? Thinking of Corsair H110
Casing: Already decided on Fractal Design Arc Midi 2
HDD: Maybe a new SSD, current one Intel 80gb only
Power Supply: using back my seasonic 660W

B85 mobo will do.

Cpu wise go for i5-4570.

Dun need h110 since nt gonna OC.

Any 2x4gb 1600mhz rams will do.

I think upgrade ram and get a ssd will be good...arma 3 quite demanding on gpu..

Shadow84: Hmm, I've haven't check out the B85 boards yet. I assume they would be further stripped down from H87? What do they usually strip off? If it's HD audio I'm fine with that, still have a discreet sound card.

B85 has 4 rear, H87 has 6 rear. Sata dun really matter unless u have 6 hdd/ssd to run. The most common usage is 2 at least and B85 has it covered.

Yup, I'll probably use 1 for system ssd and 1 for gaming hdd. The other storage hdd can go sata 2. Thanks for all the suggestions, now my build budget can trim down lol. I'm looking at the MSI B85 G43 gaming with i5 4670, 8gb and an air cooler. Any suggestions for cpu cooler? Noctua nhd14?

Intel stock cooler. Noctua D14 is designed for OC. If u wan 3rd party, get the deepcool gammaxx 200/300/400. No need spend so much on it.

ARMA3 is very CPU intensive, and is heavily bottlenecked by the main thread. Scaling beyond 4 cores is fairly poor. If you really want to overclock, a Haswell i5 is a better option. However, getting a good overclock for Haswell (and Ivy Bridge) usually involves delidding.

Hi, so an I5 4670 should be enough right? Since not overclocking don't need the K series?

Either one 4570 or 4670.
